Kapytl started in the back office of a real estate company.

At the time, I was working in accounting, close enough to see how every agent's money moved, and close enough to see where it kept breaking down.

The agents were out closing deals and building their business. But when it came to their books, the picture was a mess. Receipts went missing. Expenses never got categorized. Nobody could say with confidence what they had actually earned, what they owed, or what they could write off.

No one was managing the money side.

A commission landed in one account. An expense went on a personal card. A receipt got buried in email. By the time tax season came around, agents were scrambling to piece together a year of finances from memory, hoping nothing slipped through the cracks.

That experience stayed with me.

I realized agents did not need another CRM or deal tool. They needed their books handled, so their finances were clean, current, and ready whenever they were.
